L'architecte naval américain John Hannah s'est inspiré des bateaux de pêche des immigrés italiens et grecs. 

Ce bateau d'inspiration méditerranéenne à arrière "norvégien" est un bateau de grand voyage très marin.

Construit en 1973 sur le chantier Pfister à Aigues-Mortes,  il est fait entièrement de bois (Iroko, Acajou et Acacia).

Ce voilier a été certifié Bateau d'Intérêt Patrimonial par la Fondation du Patrimoine Maritime et Fluvial. Ce label, qui donne droit à des exonérations, est valable jusqu'en 2017.
